Our Story
In June 2018, our family experienced a profound tragedy. We returned home on a Saturday to discover that our 17-year-old son, Sayon, had taken his own life. The pain of this devastating loss forced us to make a difficult decision. Despite our attachment to our beloved home, we realized that the memories were too painful to bear, and we had to move.
The process of moving was grueling. We only had a single dolly that my best friend had gifted me, and were very much unrealistic in measuring the magnitude of what this process would truly consist of. The move required two full truckloads as well as an additional ten carloads, all on what was probably the hottest day in July. In the midst of the struggle, inspiration struck us. We felt compelled and saw an opportunity to help others in this same situation. We decided in that moment that we would pursue our dream of starting a moving business.
With Shane’s previous experience in moving, and a genuine passion for the industry, we just knew it was the “perfect fit.” We realized the need for people to have a company, that could offer high quality assistance across-the-board during high stress and difficult moments of life. This feeling of people needing the perfect mover, is what then sparked and generated our company’s name A Perfect Mover. The support and assistance we received from our community was monumental, and became the stepping stone for us to rise up after tragedy and give back while doing so.
